Physically Based Rendering (PBR) Updates Tuesday, June 2, 2015

Using Schlick’s approximation for the Fresnel factor, a distribution model from Trowbridge and Reitz (GGX), and a Schlick-Smith-based visibility function, we've created a realistic look for our non-organic objects that far surpasses what the Phong Reflection Model would have been able to deliver. For those who don't speak geek (yet): We've made ships, turrets, capital wrecks, and drones look even more detailed and amazing than ever before.
